Function
The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the other that turns on the vehicle. The key also includes a switch to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight area. This feature helps you get into and out of your vehicle.
The key is made of vegetable tanned leather and takes about two days to craft each one. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to give an extremely high-end finish. It is strong compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design resembles the Volkswagen Phaeton's big car key, but it feels more heavy and premium.
Secure-A-Key is also included to protect against keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote control fob and it shuts it down when the key has not been utilized for a period of a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their car. Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to build and construct a Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace new technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors guide it into perpendicular and parallel parking spaces, drivers have to do it by hand.
